Bee Sting
A bee sting can cause various reactions in pets. You may see localized irritation, facial swelling, hives, or even a life-threatening anaphylaxis reaction. Sometimes swelling is caused by a different underlying cause. Don't assume swelling indicates a bee sting or insect bite unless you witnessed the sting.
Warning
Hives, breathing problems, itching, or facial swelling may indicate a severe reaction. Bring your pet to the vet immediately.
Tips
- Consult with your vet on the severity and progression of any swelling. They may suggest an antihistamine or topical cortisone cream.
